During a gap year, Micha van der Lee majored in Biochemistry, with a minor in French, at Bates College in Maine. She played for the school’s field and ice hockey team, as well. Inge Sijpesteijn – studied at Michigan State University (in East Lansing, Michigan) for one year, then transferred for a further three years (and graduated) from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virgina, where she played field hockey.
